Help with 2004 Excursion and 2008 Rims
I currently have a 2000 Excursion that I am trading. I have found a mint 2004 to purchase but it has had a set of aftermarket rims on it and when the owner traded it in, the dealer took the rims and tires off of a 2008 Super Duty King Ranch and put them on the 2004 Excursion. Unfortunately they failed to realize that the rims are deeper and the tires are only an eighth of an inch off the body and rub when the truck flexes. The dealer is going to make it good but I would like to keep the rims on the truck..any ideas on what I can suggest to the dealer to make it work????

Well this is not the greatest suggestion, but I know they make spacers the you can install between the wheel and hub to push the tire farther out of the wheel well. I have seen 1/8" 1/4" & 1/2 in spacers but I don't think they are the safest alternative.
