Locating Temp Sending Unit

Hi,
Could anyone please tell me where to locate my Temp Sending Unit for my Ford Ranger 2001 2.3 liter engine. My dash gauge is not giving a reading at all and I can't locate the Unit to replace it. Manuals show no photos of location.

Left(drivers) rear side of block under the intake manifold. You can see it from the bottom better. It has one wire going to it. jd
