Question stall out

i have a 97 powerstroke and last week it just died. i could tell it was an electrical issue by the way it stalled. i went to go start it back up and the instrument cluster on the right, the one with wait to start and water in fuel etc. didnt go on. i knew it was a fuse i found the fuse it was and it wa sunder glow plugs and somethin else. I replaced the 30 amp fuse and it was fine for a week and today on my may to work it died again. i put another fuse in there but it burned through right away. I dont know what it is other then something to do wiht the glow plugs or fuel bowl, i think. if anyone has any idea what my problem is or how it happened please let me know. thanks, luke

Iff that fuse is #22 your fuel heater is shorting out. Unplug the fuel heater on the side of the filter housing. Remove the decorative cover on the engine to get to it.

Luke the fuel heater is on the fuel filter housing. drivers side. down low there are two electrical connections that go into a plastic part on the housing. the fuel heater is the top on. its like a spade connector with a plastic/rubber boot over it. its easiest to get a screw driver in there. if that don't help I will give you a call

there is a pic Jim posted a couple days ago. the fuel heater is the top boot center just to the right in the pic. almost under the bolt head at the very top of the pic
