I have a 2000 4.6L and I love it. I am currently experiencing some clutch issues, and the thing eats ball joings becuase you can not grease them and you have to change the whole contrlloer arms to replace the upper ball joints, but other then that the thing runs great.
sorry... minor cough there... this is probably the most common problem... and i do mean common. i love the model and everyone i know does as well. i say go for it if price is right!

Is the 2000 V8 f150 the same? You cant just unscrew the upper ball joint ?
I have a 2000 w/ 4.6. Pretty much same thing you have actually except different engine and I have the XL. I love it, I do need to check my ball joints. I've had it almost 2 years and haven't checked them once.
