Hi everyone. I'm going to buy some cab corners this week and I am looking at purchasing from Dennis Carpenter Parts. They seem to have the best price but I was wondering about their quality. I remember seeing a few posts and pics of some corners that didn't line up correctly (the indention) and since I'm new to this whole welding/body work thing and not as tallented as some of the guys on here I want to be sure I'm getting quality parts the first time around.
Anyone order corners from DC and where there any issues?
I think all of the patch panels are made by the same overseas company, just sold by many here. That said, it's just shopping around to find the better price. I got lucky and only needed the lower portion of the patch, so I didn't have to match the indentions, but others have had problems in this area. But even the curve at the bottom is not "correct".
I was under the impression that there were a couple of manufactures of these parts. I should also be able to get away with not cutting into the indention because my rot is also lower down on the corner. I guess I will order them and see what happens.
From other replies over time most if not all cab corners and other sheet metal repair panels need some ''fine tuning''.
I suspect that some do fit better than others though.
I got mine quite a while ago but also got floor sections and front corners. Seemed to fit nicely. I looked up their info from my receipts and checked the internet and they're still in the same place. Here's the info:

Well, thanks for the input. I did order them this morning from Dennis Carpenter before I read these last couple of posts so I am now going to have to see what I get. I'll let you all know how it turns out when they come in. It should be fun ((fingers crossed))!
