I like a variety. I've liked Rush, but sometimes he can sound a little like a broken record. There's a guy on WGN 720 AM MIlt Rosenberg that if he has a good topic and/or guest(s) he's really good. 9 - 11 PM weeknights.
There are several sports talk guys I enjoy at some level or another, too much about TO and I'm looking for something else to listen to.
BUT for consistent good radio, check out Eddie Stubbs on WSM 650 AM. Of course they play some music so it's not a true TALK show I suppose, but he interviews some of the most interesting people in the history of Country Music. You can't go wrong with Eddie.
Rush is a little too full of himself for my taste. I don't really like any of the "big name" hosts, though.
Although I don't mind talk radio at all when I'm with people who listen to it, I don't find I ever turn it on myself. I don't really know why, I just don't.
Talk radio is the reason music CD's were invented. If I want to hear that Hurricane Katrina, global warming, heartburn and the sinking of the Titanic were caused by Democrats and Libs, I will tune in .... otherwise it is music.
I know what you mean, Dono- I broke the antenna wire in my Ranger back in October, and I haven't bothered to fix it. Most radio is pretty bad. I find that I really don't miss it very often, with a CD player and iPod that I can still listen to, and my CB picks up NOAA weather channels.
I listen to it every once in a while, usually when I am sitting in traffic coming home from work in the afternoon. There are a couple of talk stations that are interesting but it really depends on the day.
I tune in to the Patriot radio channel on Sirius but then again it gets old listening to them talk about the same old stuff everyday.
I find myself listening to the Roadhouse channel and the Blues channel mostly. I have a CD player but haven't played a CD but twice since I installed Sirius radio.
Dave Rutherford Corus Network and Charles Addler, probably because they see things the way I do. Ok I admit it I'm conservative, after all I am in Alberta.
Dave Ramsey The Money Game. That guy is smart. He is out of Nashville TN and is on there talk radio station. Dont get to listen to him much anymore. Also like G. Gordon Liddy and Rush some times. Havent listened to any of them in some time.
I like Mancow in the mornings. Mike McConnel late mornings on 700wlw Cincinnati but he is broadcasted in 32 states. Bill Cunningham on 700wlw in the afternoons. Then I switch to sports talk until Greg Valentine comes on in the evening. Not sure where Valentine broadcasts from. I used to like Sean Hannity but got tired of hearing the same thing everyday. You know Republicans good... Democrats bad type of thing. I'm enformed enoughed to make my own opinoun on the issues. I can't even stand Hannity and Combs on Fox News anymore. If you've seen it once who've seen it a thousand times.
