Since I'm not a big TV person I am a radio talk show addict,
Dr Laura 9-12
Rush 12-3
Dave Ramsey 3-4
Bill O' Reilly 4-6
Michael Medved 6-7
Laura Ingraham 7-10
I really enjoy them all and try to learn something new from each. On weekends I catch the Kim Kommando show from 10-12 and Ron Aninian (Car doctor) 10-12 Sundays.
Sometimes I enjoy Hannity and the Clark Howard show. Yes I know it does sound extreme but I am a stay at home mom and have my radios in the house tuned in while hanging with my son.
1110am in Charlotte (NC).........Keith Larson from 0900 to 1200.........Rush Limbaugh from 1200 to 1500........Jeff Katz from 1500 to 1800..........Depending on the topics....I'll switch in and out and lisen to classic rock or something....Also....I patrol (cop) during the day (0600 to 1430)......so the talk stuff is pretty easy to get into.......Neil Boortz is a morning guy, but in OUR station (again...1110am)....he's 2100 to midnight....so I catch a little of him too......
Personalities like Ronn Owens, Len Tillem, Dr. Dean Adell, Pete Wilson, Bernie Ward, Ray Taliaferro; and a host of fill-in hosts.
KGO is THE best talk radio station I've heard bar none, simply because they actually have a couple of hosts who actually can DISCUSS issues, not just rant like the usual talk radio partisan lunkheads from either side...who in my opinion are helping to destroy our country.
I'm speaking of Pete Wilson (2-4 pm PST), Gene Burns (7-10pm PST), or Ronn Owens 9-12noon PST), and a couple of the fill-in hosts, like John Rothman or Gil Gross. Each has been known to actually have his mind changed or opinion moderated on the air by well presented listener arguments.
Can't say that about most of the folks mentioned in above posts.
If you actually want to hear talk radio as a format for discussion, and not for closeminded "I'm right, screw you" diatribes, and one trick ponies...then I urge you to go to http://www.kgoam810.com/home.asp and try listening to Pete, Gene, or Ronn's archived shows. You can also listen online live.
e1p1, John Rothman is a master of presidential history.
He's so up on it and will listen to your point of view no matter where you stand.
A total gentleman; easy going; very pleasant to listen to.
Too bad they couldn't keep Michael Finney (7 on your side).

Ben: Re Michael Finney, what happened there? I thought he had some kind of accident a few months ago and was rehabbing, but yeah, he was an awesome consumer advocate...I learned much and saved much from him!
You're right about Rothman...it's so fun to hear him dismember partisans from both sides when it comes to either the presidency or other parts in government and how they're supposed to function
Listen to the local talk radio here, AM1500. Get horrible reception, so it's nice that they do a live web stream. Like them more now that they got rid of Rush and Hannity. I think those two talk just the hear their own voices and think it is golden (crap in my opinion). Only local hosts now.
If you're looking for an odd bird to listen to, catch the Mischke Broadcast from noon to 2 (central time). If you don't want the standard talk radio fair, he's the one to listen to.
Hey FL1A, good to see Krok's name show up. He used to be on 1500 here.
