Heard an UGLY rumor at KC Auto Show.

I went to the KC Auto Show and was talking to a lot of the people there. Strangely enough, the Ford Rep's refused to talk to me(an 18 year old mechanic) about their trucks or anything else... especially diesels. Later on, a lot of people were telling me that International jerked their contract with Ford. Anyone else heard this?

Both Ford and IH have defaulted on their contracts and are playing the blame game with each other right now. IH has resumed shipping the 6.4L to Ford, but both companies are not done fighting it out yet. It's been going on for some time now.

It's nothing really new, Ford has been treating many suppliers poorly and is putting themselves in a bad position. Only GM has a worse reputation when dealing with suppliers.

Where are you located in KC, 1988? I, too, am in KC and wished I could have gone to the Auto Show this year but didn't have the time.
