you have to do the bumper, and header panel if you want the 05-07 grill.

No, you simply need to go to eBay and purchase the modified grill that snaps right into place.

Does the search function not work anymore? I swear this is the same time I've seen this question pop up in a few days.

sorry mike, i thought he wanted the full 05 style. yup, if he wants to save alot of $$$$, thats the way to go. if i would have done that on mine, i def would have still done the new lights. but thats just me. the new style grill needs the light too. imo.

I do as well... This gives you an idea of how much the grill and new lights can change the truck:

To... (nevermind the image name!)

4 screws and a couple clips. I felt bad because I paid so much and it went on too quickly. I wanted more work!

That grill looks good! Big improvement. I was never a fan of the earlier Excursion grille. I put a black 02 super duty grille on mine, much better. Just over $200 from Ford.

I agree. They gave the Excursion the lamest grill. The only ones I like are the black Exs with the black grill and front bumper. Those look hot but would still look even hotter with a black chrome 05' grill...

Black chrome? Oxymoron?

You're right though...no matter which one (Black or chrome)you put on those blacked-out Excursions. They are still the cat's meow. Wish I woulda got one...but they are a PITA to keep clean from what I hear.

We have a black Tahoe and it is a pain to keep clean. I can get away with not washing the Excursion for a couple weeks and it still looks freshly cleaned.

As for the black chrome, beleive it or not there is such a thing though I doubt Ford actually used it. I think the Z06 wheels are black chrome. Here's an example:

You can get black chrome rims at 4wheelparts.com. They are a little bit mre than the chrome. There are several brands including ProComp (house brand). I like them but the X is white and chrome.
