Well I must have been one of those PSD that did not like synethic. I was running AMSOIL, since I work with a dealer and got it at his cost. Well anyway it got to be to expensive and since I have switched back to Rotella and she has never run better. Just my opinion.

I hear it causes leaks, whereas it is more likely to find its way out of loose tolerences especially on high mileage motors. I know it dosent cause leaks but I guess if you notice any leaks you can just change back. Anybody???

Not anymore, back when syn. first came out it had these problems. Now there are additives to prevent this.

I would change over, and let your engine start seeing the benefits of using it. If you have access to a oil extractor, remove the plug on the top of the HPOP reservoir (the rectangle) in front of the fuel filter. Suck as much oil as you can out and refill with new oil to about 1/2" below the top. Keep in mind this oil isn't drained in a typical oil change so you will need to buy two or three more quarts. I sucked mine dry the last change and added 2 qts and it still wasnt full but started fine.

yeah but after a few changes it should be all synthetic, just takes a little more time, unless you want to suck it out. right?

yes it will mostly be changed out after the next few changes. But how long does it take run enough miles to change the oil three times?

Its too expensive to keep changing the synthetic unless you have the extra, extra, extra filtering system. Go to biodiesel and your oil will always look clean.
