cab change

i am working on putting a cab on my dads 92 f-250 off of a 94 f-150. the trooper im talking with said that he would just inspect the new completed truck and change my old title to the new vin number which will also have a ks on it. thats cool, then he asked me if the motor and frame were all staying the same and i said yes and he asked if the motor was original and i said no, this is the third motor that has been in the truck and it is a factory replacement. he said that he would have to look into that and add that on the title. my question is why would that matter?

kansas laws here
