Headlight/Remote Door Lock
When I use the remote fob to unlock the truck, the headlights come on. They stay on until I turn the key to start it. That is annoying. Is there a way to disable that? (I hope this wasn't covered somewhere previously. I hate re-hashing, but I did search the topics and didn't see anything).

I'm suprised you dislike that feature I have it on my 07' and its the first truck I had that did that I think its kind of cool when your 100 feet away and the whole truck is lit up in the dark did you try turning it off in the information center? There may be an option to turn off the auto lights

My '07 does that too, but only at night. Probably something to do with the auto headlight sensor, when it's dark out it'll turn the lights on. Does NOT do this during the day time. I'm sure there's some way to turn it off...maybe put a little light bulb in front of your sensor?

mine only come on at night. if you're worried about wearing out the battery, I wouldn't worry. they've got like a 30 second time delay or so.
my 2003 Mustang does the same thing. it's delay is actually longer.

Might be different for other years, but my '07 manual states how to turn off the automatic headlights using the information center.
The lights on my truck only come on when it is dark outside.
