In the town where I was city attorney, our former police chief ordered all the cruisers parked when it snowed! Now I see his point. I guess you can get away with that in Ky. The Mayor always told a story about the officer that idled a vehicle all night. It died when it ran out of gas. They sold that one as soon as they could. In 1992, you could get a Crown Vic with police package for about $12,500 off the state price contract. That was cheap even then.
