First of all I would like to thank yopu all for your help so far! I live in Cape Town and the guy selling me the 55 F100 was in Johannesburg. To make a long story short, he sold it to someone else without telling me. Yes, I told him that I wanted it and had booked tickets to go and fetch it. Guess what, a guy in the village next to me bought it.... Now understand Johanessburg to Cape Town is 1800 KM... If I see it I will make pictures of the back lid and the way it closes. I know you guys were keen to see if it were different than the US versions. Oh, sorry I bought last week a 57 Chev (original). Please forgive me but I am very happy with it... If I will spot another Ford I will make sure it will not escape.
I'm sorry that Truck got away, it was a beauty.
I don't know about the rest of the folks here but if I couldn't get the Ford Truck I wanted, a 57 Chevy would work very well.
This is especally true in your situation where there isn't alot of American Classic Iron around in the first place.
