Custom hitch reciever extender? That is what I need for my truck. Where can I get one, and what would be a ballpark figure for the cost of such an animal? I ask, because I just had someone give me a slide in camper that extends about 30 inches past my rear bumper. I want to be able to tow trailers, but haven't figured out how to get the hitch back that far.
pull up any of the hitch companies online (hidden hitch, etc.)....OR....sometimes the automotive places (advance, auto zone, etc.) have them........maybe even wally-world.....
You probably won't even know that its there, I could'nt see how you could tear up anything since your going to be way under your payload. And what a sweet camper.
Nice - I don't see any slideouts so there won't be any slideout hassles... AND BEST OF ALL - IT'S NOT AN ALFA!!!
But now guess what I'm going to tell you?
GET UP ON THE ROOF AND LOOK AT THE ROOF SEALS...
There is a reason for that. Just because it's new, doesn't mean it has a good seal. I just spent a week wrangling with an ALFA GOLD that was bought brand new - with a bad roof. Seriously bad...
Bad enough to have rotted wood all around it.
The one thing that will kill a trailer for sure, every time, is a neglected or bad roof - and you want to protect your investment from the git go. Quote: "Stay on top of the roof". You'll be glad you did.
