Without a problem! Its weight is about what my camper is and I used a 1/2 ton Che... to pull it without a problem. Your weight will be in the bed and the truck should have overloads and should handle the camper. If no overloads, you will need to ad them.

Either overloads or air bags. I prefer airbags for ride.

I doubt if you will need overloads on a 450! Unless you buy the biggest, baddest camper in existance!!

The ad states that "This super wide camper is light enough for the heavy duty single rear tire trucks."

I would assume they mean a SRW F350 or equivelent. That means your DRW F450 would handle it no problem.

isn't the payload of the F450 6,000 pounds?

That is a expensive slide in, you can get a nice toyhauler for that price.

Thanks for all the Help I really do appreciate it.

I really like the Camper and so does the wife, Does having a Camper put a lot of wear&tear on the Truck?

YES....It will (and then some.....).....A good F250 can handle it with a decent leveling kit and airbags....An F350 will handle it with no problem by itself....An F450?........Are you kidding me?......

lol man I love this site...I'm talking the long run will I have Problems like suspension giving up or other things I should worry about, just don't want to spend $32000 and damage my truck.

Oh this is my first camper...I never even owned a trailer so everything is New to me.

Thanks again.

If you are comfortable pulling a trailer, I TT will give you a lot more room & storage for the same money.

BPofMD 03-22-2007 01:13 PM

Read his 1st post, he is already towing something, hence his need for the camper!

cmpd1781 03-22-2007 01:58 PM

Yup, Bud.....That's the beauty of a camper........

my firend has one of those in his drw 350. loves it. keep i mind that you will need to have a custom hitch reciever extender installed as the camper blocks normal use of you trailer hitch.

Spamjohnson 03-22-2007 09:32 PM

May I add, Torklift, you will feel secure with the camper on.

How TALL is the cab roof, vice the clearance needed for the overhanging front end?

If that fits, you should be in good shape. I suppose it would be a silly question what truck bed it is designed for...
