Anyone ever heard of (or tried to themselves) drilling, tapping and installing a grease fitting in the OEM ball joints?
My '96's ball joints are in good condition now, recently had them checked out when was in for pre-inspection for a lift, but I was thinking that if there was a way to grease the factory units, they would last longer.
I have heard from 'people' that this can be done, but none of these 'people' has ever done it themselves, only heard about it from still other 'people'...
It would probably work, but you could only do the lowers. For the uppers you'd have to tear it almost all the way down anyway, in which case you should just drop in some serviceable joints at that time...
But, if you wanna do the lowers, go for it. If it doesn't work for whatever reason just plug the holes and move on.
