engine losing power
Hi this is my first time excuse me for the spelling or if I left any thing out I've have a 1995 ford f250 4x4 diesel 7.3. no mods 300k. I have had it for 5 years so fare. Every couple of weeks ill be driving along and the engine will lose allot of power. All I have to do is pull over and let the engine idle a couple of seconds and I have full power again.And the other symptom is when I am driving along the engine will shut down for a second all gages will turn off then fire back up .Or if I am at a stop light the engine will turn of and ill have to restart it.

first off welcome to FTE
secondly your stalling issue is more than likely the cam senosr (cps) very common issue with these trucks. if you have never replaced it in the 5 years you have had the truck you may have set a record! the good thing is that if it doesn't fix your problems you should ahve a spare int he glove box for when it does go out.
it may also fix your lose of power issue. that is where I would start. if you have a international dealer they can get it to you sheaper than the ford dealer usually. or if you can wait for a week or so Ebay is a great place.here part numbers for you. serial number is located on the block near the oil filter (just to the rear of the filter housing) on a flat machinced surface.

(Ford) F6TZ-12K073-A 94-96
(Ford) F7TZ-12K073-A 97+
(International) 1821720C99 (below engine 375548)
(International) 1825899C93 (above engine 375548)
