i don't know if this is the right forum for this but i'll try. i have a 78 f-150 4x4 with 351M and what i was wondering is where the heck the backup light switch is because my backup lights have never worked and i can't find the switch to change it. from what i gather it is on the tranny can anyone help a newbie out?

Is it a standard or automatic . If standard the switch is on the top of the trans below the shifter.

Automatic !

It's Combo NSS/ Back Light switch

It's part of the shifting mechanism right on the transmission

standard.
