Anyone found a source for...............
The cage nuts and speed nuts used on our trucks? I can find plenty with 18 threads per inch but not the fine threads used on our fenders and grills. Top of my head I think they are 24 thread per inch.
I can use the 18's but was looking to avoid changing all of them. I would like to keep the same bolts throughout.
Lawson has a lot available but not what I am looking for.

dearbornclassics.com .. online catalog .. hardware and fasteners .. page 201, and up. This is a company that sells repro Ford car parts, but many of the hardware items are the same...like barrel clips, speed nuts etc.

Have not purchased from 'auto body clips' a member posted as source in another thread.

Purchase the sheet metal fasteners; speed nuts, cage nuts, j and u clips, and other hard to come by hardware for 65 F100 from 'restoration specialty inc.' Found them very helpful, sent them sample of insulator and they returned w/ sample of item close to or simular.
