Injector Knock

Hello all. Been awhile since the last post, but a lot of reading here!!

Anyway, on cooler mornings, or cooler startups, my truck has a fairly harsh injector knock. Would the switch to synthetic, the Hutch mod, a switch to bio for a few tanks, and a new filter help fix this? Anything else I can do?

The truck runs great once it's warm, and when we had the week of mid 60's temps, my mileage was back up around 19 again, so, I don't think the injectors are trashed.

Also, had the intake tube off, and the wheel looks awesome!! At 118,650 miles, it looks almost brand new, and this with running a K&N Cone filter for at least the 26,000 put on by myself in 1 year's time. No dusting, chipped blades, etc.

I havent dne the CCV mod yet, but, after looking at the simplicity in doing it, it will be done very soon. Any recommendations there?

Thanks a lot guys.

If you have AE or have a buddy that can hook you up, try running some tests to pinpoint if you have an injector problem. It's normal for injectors to be a bit noisy when cold, however a harsh knock might be an injector that is not working properly. A buzz test and a CCT test when the engine is cold might help you pinpoint which one is the culprit.

You could also try the oil change to see if it helps. That would be the best method for reducing hard starts and noise.
