i hit a buck once in it....very smooth....had my old mustang up to 155 a couple times....that was stupid....stupid, stupid....
stupid stuff when your young....
i was just curious about the truck....floored it going up hill and it went right up to 100....3.73's and 18" wheels...handeled great and still had lots left....and it's totaly stock....for now....EDGE is on it's way and due here tomorrow....
I don't see having mine go past 80. It's touched 70 a few times but then, I'm not known for pushing the envelope. My idea of extreme is hot sauce on a Jack in the Box taco. Woah, slow down.
I've heard several times that you could only get to 99.
I haven't gone past 85 in the new truck. Don't want to for some reason.
I know I've read it somewhere else, but this is one of the places that I might of read it from:http: //www.ford-trucks.com/forums/587774-speed-limiter-or-governor.html?highlight=speed+shut+off
Now I've done somewhere around 105 in my 77, but it's kind of hard to tell, b/c the top speed shown is 85, but when it raps back around to 10... That means somthing.
not the newest truck, but i thought i'd chime in... i'd say i made it once around 82-83 range when i was mad on the interstate. normally keep 'er at 65. no need for any higher in my truck...
95/98 mph at 5,600 rpm's in 2nd, 4,925 in 3rd with 33" tires, 3.54's, C-6 414 w/427 LR heads, headers w/custom home brew exhaust and X-cross in a 68 CS. That would be 125 range including convertor slip. Turds too slow still needs bigger motor w/a Gearvender OD.
Fun to play against new plastic.
1 to 2 , what yo smokin I would say your lucky to be within 10 mph on the end of the scale. I get the corrected numbers off those posted "your speed" flashing signs in town, 60 mph by the road markers for highway patrol aircraft then tach above that as Mr. Speedo only goes to 100 mph. Peg Mr.Speedo then add 1,100 rpm's.

Haha... "Hot sauce on a Jack in the Box taco. Woah, slow down."
I just about fell off my chair!!
GPS read 121 With Edge, Functional Ram Air hood and K&N filter, Headers, high flow cats. I need a Supercharger. 80-85 is regular hiway speeds around here in Phoenix. She was tight to the ground and not floating at all. I have 20in wheels and some fatty tires that stick. But the wife wasnt to happy when I told her, Its her truck! Not bad for a 4x4
