I have a 90 Bronco with a blown engine. Would like some advise as to
how to proceed. The running gear is in great condition, should I order a long block and add a cam and headers, as the old block probably is not worth keeping, and if so, from who, there are lots out there. Or, it it worth replacing with a long block 351?? I have a standard transmission. Will the fuel injection swap with a new manifold, what else needs to be changed??
Check out this website for rebuilt motors. You can get a 302 long block with a seven year 70,000 mile warranty and free shipping for under a $1,000.00. I rebuilt my motor myself for about $1200.00 and I have no warranty , wish I knew about this place before I did mine
I would go with mild build-up of a 302. Maybe a mild,computer-compatible RV-type camshaft,a set of headers, and other exhaust upgrades. There is a whole bunch of parts offered by different aftermarket suppliers to wake-up the EFI302 truck engines. It all depends on how much you want to spend.
