It seems that you can't understand why I would put on shocks when I was going to lift it anyway. The answer is I can afford to! You asked why would I sell it because of a bad shock deal? the answer is I can afford to I get rid of things they **** me off! last week I had Craftsman tools and the sales person gave me a hard time about returning some tools so I sold them at work and purchased Evercraft tools from Napa. No more crap from Sears!
What is your truck an F150 F250 F350 F550? What year truck? What lift kit did you use? How is the ride now? What size tires do you have now? Did you change your gears? Were there any problems with keeping the front end aligned? Do you front tires cup? Did you upgrade your sway bar? Pro Comp put me back looking at lift kits and before I purchase my lift kit there are some questions that I have to ask someone that has lifted there truck.
This is what the form is about helping people out! I have to wait for my warranty to run out on my truck and that is the fall of 2008 so I cant have bad shocks on my truck! I was disappointed that nobody would do anything about my shocks for about 8 weeks until pro Comp cleared up the mess and now I feel that aftermarket company's are more reputable now.I did not want an F350 and pay $ for fuel with an average truck suspension. If I offended anyone please except my apology I wanted to explain how Pro Comp's customer support helped me with my shock problem. I wish everyone would talk more about the problems they ran into when installing a lift kit and give some good tips on doing a better job installing one and what effects the lift kit made. PS The evercraft tools are nice and the ratchets are better than Craftsman.
He's just like the rest of us, he expects to get what he pays for and to get the correct parts the first time. I am the same way.
Just let it go. He got his problem resolved and that was the purpose of this thread.
I don't mind sometimes a person needs a little crap and I guess I deserve it! I just wanted what I was told was to do the job. The product was good just not for my application. The Company made it good not the suppler.I want everyone to know that Pro Comp stands behind there product! And there tech is very good. The fuel thing is when I purchased my F350 I new the MPG was not good and I am going to make it worse by putting on bigger tires and lifting it but that was why I purchased a stock truck so I could do it and make it my lifted monster truck that I have always wanted. If I wasn't going to lift it there was no reason to keep it. So I was going to buy a 1986 CJ-7 restored and made into a bass $## Jeep! I worked all of this out when I purchased my Ford. Is there anything wrong with that? Isn't that a good plan?
Thank you for the reply and a lesson well learned.I am not a person that will not admit when I am wrong. I have made some mistakes in my life ask my wife. I wish I knew how to post some photos of my truck and my shop. I purchased a digital camera and I don't know how to download photos. Well take care everyone and have a good time.
this is truely the craziest thread i have ever read! makes for good reading! i do have to say your wrong about the sarcasim thing though!youve clearly never been to australia, its the most sarcastic place on earth, and also the most laid back!!! cheers mate!
I really hate Customer Service at 4 wheel parts in Compton Ca. They gave my buddys dad wrong shocks for his duramax. This happened more than once, the shocks would give out in less than 1000 miles.......CS reps do suck at 4wheelparts.
