I just discovered a fuel leak on my 87 F-150 4x4,dual tanks. The leak is coming from the top of the front tank,it is a new tank ,I would guess its a bad line or fitting, hope I donrt need a new sender, how hard to fix is it.
1. empty tank
2supprort it with floor jack
3.Drop tank enought to get to fitting /wires and remove
4remove fill tube
5.drop tank
It could be as easy as a loose clamp on filler or may be a bad seal on pump sender hole. Or a return line that wasn't on whole way. If its been leaking you should be able to tell about the area of leak. Good luck
