I Have A Question
Did I miss something or did Ford not build an 07 Super Duty? I was out for a motorcycle ride the other day and rode by the local Ford Dealer. I rode on the lot to find 08 Super Duty trucks. If my memory is right they did the same thing in 1997 or 1998 they missed a year.
I have to say I looked at 3 grill models, the chrome, black, & color matched. I really don't like the front ends on them way TOO BIG. The color match looked the best IMO. Other than that it looks much like the 06s.

Yeah, they made an 07. I just bought a PSD CC 4x4 Lariat a couple of months ago. I did not like the 08 headlights, and grille. Thought the upside down headlights were ugly, and did not like the words 'super duty' in the grille. Just my preferance I guess.

It was a short build year, I don't know exactly when they started, maybe July 2006, and they finished up in early December 2006. I ordered mine in September, 2-3 weeks before they closed the order banks, and received it in mid-December.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I slept through the 07 model year. So I guess the 09s will be out in a few months. Ha,Ha. So if you buy an 08 now what will all this jockeying of years do to resale?

On January 1st 2007 new emmision standards went into effect for all diesel trucks produced after that date. Ford and International had to work together to design a new engine and emmision system to meet those standards. Ford was already working on an updated exterior/interior for the trucks and decided to release them as an all new model truck the 2008. This makes it much easier to tell what engine components and parts fit the vehicles.
I feel bad for the Chevy and Dodge guys who had major changes to the trucks in the middle of a model year. I've dealt with that before and it's a pain having to remember and explain all the time if yours is an early or late model.
On a final note, I think the 2008s are ugly as sin and I am sooooo happy I bought my 2007
