Hello everyone...i've scanned most of the post on this and have yet to find my answer. I am trying to remove the top from my 95 EB and i need to know where i can get the torx socket to remove the bolts. I read in a previous post that the size is #45 but the socket i bought doesn't fit the bolt because the bolt has a post in the center of the torx. Any info would be greatly appreciated...in addition, what size regular torx removes the seat belts from the top. Again, thanks!!
Woody
Do it the easy way. Drive your rig to the local auto parts store, tell the stoop behind the counter what you are trying to accomplish, and let him find the right size for you.

Did you use a "tamper resistant" T 40 torx bit?

and look here for frogger's diy:

"...what size regular torx removes the seat belts from the top".."T 60"
AIM, Thanks for the quick reply...when i was at work earlier i couldn't pull up frogger's "How to"...thanks for the reference...However, i was at the O'Reilly parts store and they didn't have the inverted socket...can i get this at WallyWorld (Wal-Mart) or is it a specialty that i'm going to have to order...it's supposed to be sunny all weekend here in Tulsa and i'm just trying to get a jump on going topless!! Thanks again.
Woody
Hey, thanks to everyone!!! I'm now official topless!!!
However, I found that on my 95 the torx socket that removed the seatbelts was a T-50 and not the T-60 (T-60 way to big). Regardless, thank you AIM and Frogger!
I suggest that after you remove the original bolts that require the special tamper-proof, that you replace them with regular headed bolts. I did this because I didnt even get all the original ones out b4 the torx bit broke(two of them actually). I think there are only 2 different sizes, just take them to a parts store to get some new ones with the right thread and length. Dave
93bigbronco,
A few of the brackets that the bolts screw into fell into the hole and have magically disappeared...Any idea where i can get replacements? Do i have to go to the Dealer or can i get them at a parts house? Thanks,
Woody
