Thinking of installing a Belltech 2/4 Drop kit to level out my 04 supercrew truck. Has anyone installed one of these and how difficult was the install? Thanks

I would defiently like to level mine, but I dont want to lose any payload cap. or ride quality is the possible? How far would I have to drop it in the back for it to look level?
Bought shackles for $70.00 in Ebay (Item number: 8053493722). I removed the stock ones and replaced them with the new set of shackles. I dropped only 2 inches but I had the option to drop it three inches. I added 20's and the look of the truck was greatly improved. I have not detailed/cleaned my truck lately but I will post pictures so you can see the difference in look.
To remove/replace the shackles was in someway time comsuming but not hard to do it (3 hours for both sides). If you are handy with tools and mechanical inclined yo should be all right.
So with the new shackles on is the truck level now? What is the gap between your 20's and the fenders?(rough guess)I have 22's to put on as soon as the bad weather leaves and I'm just looking to level my truck and tighten up the space around the wheel wells. Let me know about those pics. I'm interested to see. Thanks
That looks Great! Nice truck. It's nice and leveled. Thats pretty much the look I'm going for myself. I've been doing some more research since I've last posted and have decided to go for the Belltech kit. Drop spindles/flip kit/ shackles and sway bar.Just waiting on the catalog to come in so I can choose the right parts. Probably about a month before I get it on. I'll try to post some before and after pics once I get it. Thanks for the reply.
I noticed you pulled thr 4X4 sticker off the bed. I did the same thing. Looks cleaner that way. We have the almost the same ride. Mines red with factory runner boards and a Lund tonneau cover. Nice Ride
I'm looking forward to look those pictures. The Belltech kit is great as you are upgrading the suspension. I have three kid$ soI couldn't afford it. Went the cheap route.
I am not a professional on this matter but I do not think that lowering the truck affects the shocks in anyway. The weightload sholuld be the same. The only difference is that when the back of the truck is lowered, the clearance between the tire and the fender or quarter panel has been reduced. Therefore when you load the truck it will take less weight to close that gap. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
if the truck axle flexs alot, you might bottom out your shock and break it. the shocks are a certain length, and by lowering it 2", you run the risk of that bottoming out that I was talking about during compression.
I went the other way with mine, but to each his own. are you guys getting bigger rims/tires, or are you staying with what you got?
I bought my truck as a conversion vehicle! It has a 2" in the front and a 4" in the rear with 22" wheels running a 40 series tire. The tire gap is about 2-3" on both the front and rear. I think it looks really nice! I'm not for a lifted truck, but I really like the sport truck look, not slammed to the ground though! Just a nice level, lowered stance with big wheels and things are in my liking! Just my $.02
