my advice would be to sell the 2wd and buy a 4wd. Trying to convert is a pita and costly.

Pablo-UA, Just curious, what country was your truck made in? Rangers have been made in USA, Brazil and Australia and somewhere else. They are not all alike in design but share some common components.

it is made in the USA truck, for US market (DOT aprouved headlamps and US engine calibrating).

As I've understood I need T-case + control unit, drive shafrts, but what parts I need for front end? Can I use Explorer parts available here, what years?

I'm really pretty sure that with the '98' and later Rangers, there is a difference in the width of the frame rails between the 4x4 and th the 4x2's. This might be a big pain to do the swap.

You would need to change the frame to get the front suspension attachments for torsion bar and front drive axle attachment as well as the steering gear attachment. You would be changing from a SLA 4x2 with coil springs to a torsion bar 4x4 suspension. I would have to agree it would be better to trade the truck for another one that is 4x4.

yeah, really too expencive deal. to convert aero to AWD was easier. Front x-member assembly, Gaz-69 t-case and custom drive shafts...

may be the only I can do, to add limited-slip diff....
