Changed the O2 sensor and still getting a 41 code
This weekend I replaced my oxygen sensor and the intake air temp sensor on my 88. I had been getting a check engine light so I pulled the codes and got a 24 and a 41. The 24 is the intake air temp. sensor out of range and the second is HEGO sensor out of range always lean. I knew the O2 sensor was old so I decided to change out both. The IAT was dirty and smelled like gas. So when out this weekend I got the check engine light again so I pulled them and found the 41 code still coming up in both memory and during the engine running test. I want to know why its registering lean and does that mean the computer will be compensating and making it run rich? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
