The Tremor pkg

is it worth it? how does that 500watt sound system sound? im currently negotiating with a few dealerships on a new 07 ranger sport with the 4x4. Hopefully ill have it sometime next week. Another question, so what lift kits are available for the 07's ? thinking of throwing on a 6" lift with some mud terrains to match my excursion. driving my excursion daily has become to excessive, I need something smaller.

Thanks

Two things:
1. I have the Tremor pkg, and I love it. I don't know much about stereo systems, and finding a vehicle with one already in it was great. Not to mention the stereo is covered by warranty. It sounds great, I listen to new and old rock and the occasional rap song. All of my friends are really impressed by the sound quality.

2. The lift kits for the Ranger are some of the most limited. The Torsion bars are a big drawback to the aftermarket. The biggest lift available is a 5.5" Camburg or RCD. I think the RCD is the only one to fit the 07. It runs about $2500. Here's a link I made about T-bar lifts:

I hope this helps

thanks for your input bigdave, according to carsdirect there is only 1 with this package in the entire state of california. They are checking up on it right now to see if its still available. If it is, its mine, sticker price on it is a little over 27k im getting it for 23.5 k to my door step on a flat bed. It even has leather seats, not that I wanted those but whatever its got the upgraded sound system.
about the lift 5.5" is a perfect size. thatll make it look real nice.

So what are you say Big Dave, a kid is going to take you out of the ranger and put you into an escape? A mans got to have a truck, I was a single parent with 2 young boys. Just tied them to each side of the roll bar. My boys grew up with trucks, they thought a car was something other people owned. When they were young I had a 67 ford f-250 4x4 highboy and a 86 CJ-7 renegade. My 2000 ranger 4x4 was my first xtracab, they loved setting in those little jump seats, they were half grown by then. There's not a real good place to put a child seat in a ranger except the front seat, then that puts the old lady to riding in the bed, if she has a mouth like mine, it's not such a bad thing ha ha. Congrats on the baby, couldn't you just p/u a second car and save the ranger, or does it for sure have to go? "Man", we'll sure miss you around here, who else is going to help me feild all the lift questions?

Well, Wendell, I don't have the jump seats in the back, just a speakerbox, as it's part of the Tremor Package. The middle seat in the front is hardly big enough for a child seat, making any trip using my truck impractical. I might get the wife an escape or explorer, and I will go to a full size. But don't you worry Wendell, I'm not going anywhere.

"COOL", also the crewcab ranger is supost to be out maybe as soon as 08, that would work for the child seat. Truck trend said they have allready seen them running around detroit, the test mules anyway.

Hey Dave, do uh got any pics of that bad boy, i got a friend interested in getting a newer ranger. he's looking for a newer ranger, 4.0L MOD5 ext cab. he's not looking for rear seating(wants it for a sound system). he was looking in the $15K range. maybe i could hook yall up, if your serious about selling. As long as it's not white green or yellow, he might want more info.

It's black, but it has an automatic. But yeah, it has no jumpseats or seatbelts. I could get some pics, but it won't be until tomorrow.

I would just order one so I could get a manual tranny, I can't stand these new automatics, or old ones for that matter. It would also save you a grand, but if your ok with the automatic, it's a good deal.

automatics are ok for places like fla and im sure cali with all the traffic, the rangers automatic isnt great with its shifting, but it beats clutching all day long.
i do miss my 5 speed tacoma and the back country driving i used to do in mass, but for now the days are over.
