I was driving uphill at about 65mph and I stepped on it to accelerate my stock gauge was about 22psi and my autometer shot straight up to 35 psi meaning it pegged the needle. The turbo screamed but then I backed off,it dropped back down and I tried it again and it did the same thing. What could it be and is it dangerous to my rig? The truck runs fine but just wondering if it's the veins or something. Thanks in advance.
You probably have the problem figured out. Boost should not go much above 26 psi unless there is a problem. I'll bet that the turbo's unison ring and vane mechanism is a bit rusty and sticks occasionally.
When I used to live on Oahu I found that Cutter Ford had a competent service department. Rather than wait much longer it might be best to visit them.

PS: After shoveling almost 2 feet of snow this morning, I sort of miss Hawaii.....
I would go with the reading on your aftermarket gauge over the stock, it is my understanding that the stock gauges tend to be off. With that said you may have a sticking problem, however I can hit a hair over 30psi with my truck set on stock fully floored, it has always been like that and the dealer has removed and cleaned my turbo at the last visit and found nothing wrong with it.
