I have been asking this question for almost 2 years, the only things I found out are it can and has been done acording to the July issue of petersen's 4wheel and off road mag. but it does not give the specs or how.
I was told that the ABS sensor would be useless, but i was also told that the early LTD and Lincoln had 9" rear disc brakes with abs sensor on a flange at the pinion. I am going to get my hands on a hollander cross index to get some more information.
On a '90 Bronco it'll work fine. Don't get a 28 spline unit like the guy in the other thread. Look for a 31 spine unit from a '73+ truck or '78-83ish Bronco. It'll bolt right up, the only concern might be u-joint size at the rear yoke - 1310 or 1330.
