I just got my 94' Bronco's gears swaped from 3.55 to 4.10! What a difference! No more going 85 on the highway just to pull the hills with out boging! No more constant down shifting! And I can now use Cruise Control!
What size tires are you running? Ive been thinking of changing over to differnt gears to get back some of the power lost, but i dont know about going to 4.10. i have 265. tires on it now and want go any higher than a 32 in the future.
How you doing on gas milage, engine temp. and what rpms are you haveing to pull now.
I only have 31" tires, But it seemed to have lost quite a bit on low RPM power. I have the 302 motor. When on the highway in OD I'm at about 2250 rpm at 70 mph. I haven't pulled my trailer with it yet, but I will soon. I'm getting low on fuel so I'll post the mileage a soon as I fill up!
really?, loss of power at low RPM? I would figure loss of power at high rpm, verses low mph.
Do you at least have more neck pop'n, tire spining launch at takeoff?
Did you do the swap yourself? What type of gears did you go with and how much did it cost? I would love to change gear ratio in my Bronco, but the cost is the major issue for me right now.

The power loss was in the low RPM range. Bigger tires raise your gearing. With the gears at 3.55's with the 31's the power was good after 2500 RPM. Now with the 4.10's, It's got power from 1500 RPM and up. I have been told this gearing will be better for my trans and motor, due to the fact that it woun't be lugging as much.
I got the local 4x4 shop to do the work. It cost me about $1200, OUCH! I know!!! But I plan on keeping the truck for a long time!
I put the lift kit on my Bronco, and I know I didn't want to do anything like that again! At least without a lift! So I broke down and payed someone else to do it
