6.0, w/6spd throttle lag when decelerating

I have a 2003 6.0 w/6spd tranny, When depressing the clutch pedal to shift the RPM's don't drop, or when letting off the accelerator to slow down there is a 1 to 2 second lag before the RPM's drop. This only happens after the truck is completely warmed-up. I have had this into the Dealer and they have reprogrammed the ECM and can find no problems. Has anyone seen this problem? Is this a characteristic of the 6.0, 6spd tranny combo?<o

I do not work on many sticks so it is hard to say from experience, sounds like a gasser w/ an unmetered vacuum leak. If the dealer says it is normal it must be-if there was a sensor or something going wrong it should set a DTC..

I have a 6-speed and haven't noticed that problem before. Maybe talk to a good 6.0 tech.

Hi,

I do not notice the symptom you describe when I am shifting but do notice what you describe when disengaging the cruise control or decelerating.
