BullyDog Question

Alright im a bit of a diesel nubie guys so bear with me. I recently installed a BullyDog Powerpup programmer on my 99 f350 supercrew automatic. And i was wondering if anyone was having a problem with the shifting. Mine on any setting even with the transmission tune on or off, goes up to about 3200 rpm and sits there for about a second or 2 before it shifts and if i keep my foot on it, it shifts really hard sometimes. And it does that on every gear. My friends got an edge programmer in his 99 f250 4x4 singlecab and his shifts so smooth on the highest setting. So i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem with bullydog?

I wish that you would have gotten on here before you bought that Bullydog. DP Tuner is the only way to go, especially on those 99's. Just do a search on DP Tuner and you will get the picture. Jody has all the shifting, timing and fueling figured out. I have never heard anyone say something negative about his tunes.

I would bet it has nothing to do with the BD system, try removing it completely and see if it still shifts like that

The Bully Dog is not going to smoke alot. it is programed not to. I have used the same programmer for 100K now and no huge rolling black clouds. I have the tranny tuned with my BD and it shifts fine (original tranny 230K) i think you may be having tranny issues that are just being realized by the added power.
