1998 heater core replacement
I have a 1998 f150 and the heater core has just went out and now I have to change it. I was wondering if there was an easier way of replace it without taking the whole dash out. Thanks.

There's not a better way, but the dash doesn't have to come completely out. You can drop the column, remove all bolts except one on the driver's side and just swing it out and set it in the passenger's seat. This saves a bunch of dealing with wiring, but there are still a few things that need done. Change the evaporator while you're in there.

Hey, I am kinda new here, and I have a 2001 F-150 and the heater core went out on it. Well I have a freind that got me some instructions for a 1998 F-150 and how to fix it and all but we cant seem to get the damn dash outta mine. I need so links or a webpage or something for this guys. PLEASE HELP ME!

heater core...
One thing you need to do is be sure to disconnect the shifter cable before you drop the steering column down, If not the housing on the cable can break, and you will have to replace it. Good luck.
