help whats this noise?
this morning i jumped in my truck started to work and about 1/4 mile down the road it starts making this funny noise. it`s hard to evplain throught typing but its like a light thumping sound. but its not to the speed of the motor.tos slower
so i pull over to see if i can see anything ..nothing?.!..hmmm
so i jump in keep going and hit the o/d button off and it stops
i go aways turn it on and its fine.
after work fine?????
i go to the gym tonight it good on the way there but coming home it does it
i hit the o/d and it dont make any diff this time
as i speed up it very slowly gets faster.
what could this be?
it shifts fine but if i can lightly feel it.
my closest geuss is like a band in the tranny is hitting the case? but thats a wild geuss.
anyone??

yeah i would say it was a wheel bearing also. if you change them i would have them put marine grease on the bearings instead of the regular grease. that way if you go thru water up to your axles nothing will happen to your bearings cause the grease will dispose of it
