Hello from Michigan
Just picked up a 2000 F150 Lariat Supercab with a 5.4 in it. Love the truck. Wife has a 98 Ranger Supercab 4x4 with a 4.0 in it. Have been lurking on the board for quite a while here and have gathered a lot of info on the two trucks. Helped me figure out how to program the keyless entry on the 150 and now working on gettting a second key for it. So will be here reading all the good things that are going on here.

Hello Bernie and it's great you joined up!
Since you've been a lurker you know you way around the site already. Great to hear the site helped you with your two trucks
Have you check out the Michigan chapter? Of course not! Now you don't have a excuse: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum85/
Glad you're here!

Thanks Dan, and you too George. Have had Fords for a long time. Had an old 70 Ford 3/4 ton two wheel drive that I plowed snow with for a long time, then upgraded to a 79 F150 4x4 with a 351 in it. Had 4:56 gears and lockers on both ends and a 6" lift. What a monster truck that was. Would move lots of snow. And then had an 86 Ranger 4x4 and then the wifes Ranger and now this new 2000 Lariat. So it looks like Ford country around our house.
A 79 F150 4X4 with lockers? I am so jealous. The small size of my estate prevents me from parking such a fine truck like that here. And don't think I don't want one. I do but the laws of wife, family, and home dictate otherwise.
Enjoy'em while you got'em.

Yeah, the 79 is no longer here. I get to see it once in a while. I sold it to my son-in-laws folks. They use it to plow about a 1 mile drive into their place. It still looks pretty good. It was an awesome looking truck. Had it painted bright metalic blue with the white accent down the sides and pinstriped around it. Had white wagon wheels on it with some 33 x 10.5's on it. Dual glass packs with headers and sounded great. But needed something newer to drive on a more regular basis, so that's why I went with the 90 Ford. Now getting rid of that and just got the 2000 150 lariat. That's a really nice truck too. But wish I could still have the old 79 to go play in the mud again. It was awesome. Those 4:56 gears really made a wild truck out of it. Had a shift kit in the trannie and it would just about pull the front wheels off the ground when it shifted into 2nd. Would get it right up to the top of the shocks and springs. Lot's and lot's of fun.

Yeah, I've got some somewhere, will have to dig them out and post them for you. It really looked good after it was painted up. Will look around in the next few days and see if I can find a couple of pics of it.
