Hi guys I have a 1997 F-350 7.3 PSD completly stock except for K&N air filter kit. Just wondering if it is true that you get more power if the catalytic converter is gutted out? ALso heard that the turbo gets louder. Is this true????

More power is debatable but turbo seems to spool faster. If you want to help your truck work better change out the OEM downpipe. It will also have a positive effect on EGT.
Turbo is definetly more audible with CAT gone. You can enhance that by also removing the muffler.
