They sell them all over the world with a crewcab and a diesel, truck trend says were getting the crewcab, maybe as soon as 08, but I'm sure the epa will keep the diesel away, at least for now.
A deisle Ranger would be cool. Would almost make me regret buying the ram. I dont no which i'ld like better. A stock 4.6 ranger, or a Turbo deisel. I think if i had the chioce, i would get the V8, simply so i could put the Supercharger upgrade on it. A crew cab would be nice, but i'ld go for a long bed single cab. Maybe a 6-speed tranny in my v8, with 4wd and Dana 44's. Yea, That would be a good "little" truck. Especially if it had that box tube chasis, You cold mod the suspension, and tow a good 15,000 lbs. Get 2 more snow mobiles, and head up north for a weekend.
if they would make a quad cab ranger that would be great as long as it came with a long bed i love the extended cab but with a short bed its useless to me i have to have a long bed.
Your not going to see a long bed on a crewcab ranger I'm afraid, if si I would be shocked, however it would make sense and give them one up on the competion. Thats why I'm not interested in a crewcab, I haul more junk than people, I have a jeep kj to haul people, I need a truck to be a truck. Back in the day, you put 3 people in the front seat of your truck, if you had more than that, they rode in the bed, those were fun times. When I was a kid, I looked foreward to riding in the bed of an old p/u truck, those were the days. My friends and I would pile in the bed as my dad and mom took us to the tastee freeze for ice cream, great summer memories. Wouldn't of been to great in the winter, but then we just took the car.
Kinda strange that in this country it's alright to have diesels in HD's trucks from all 3 auto maker's and allow Mercedes and Voltswagon to sell diesels cars here but won't allow diesels in small trucks or F150's. Would like to see a diesel F150 and Ranger soon. I did find a 1983 Ranger that does have a 4 cylinder Diesel in it down in Ks.
They allow them, it's just getting them to burn clean enough to pass epa regs and would they sell well enough to be worth the expense. If the demand is there I'm sure you will start seeing more diesels for light duty applications in the future
The EPA and DOT would cause they would say it does not meet their standards. Up to a about 3 or 4 yrs ago they were producing the original vw beetle in mexico but you could not go to mexico and buy one and bring it back cause it did not meet the us EPA and DOT requirements.
Probly considering they get everything from us anyways i could be wrong but i don't think they get anything different than what you can buy here now Mexico and elsewhere do get those type vehicles that we would like to get but can't.
Would Canadian pollution and safety controls be as restricitve as americans? i don't have a clue where to look for that kind of stuff
Didn't you see the news a couple days ago? Gordon Campbell was going to meet the Terminator to set some kind of agreement on air quality and that sort of stuff. Just so that BC and California have the same air quality and pollution standards.
yeah but aircare dont matter to me my friend, i live where tehy let us pollute all we want.........kinda good, kinda bad.
but no, havnt watched teh news for a week, been gone far away
