Transfer Case Fluid

What fluid is in our transfer case? Transmission fluid? Same as our automatic transmission? I'm on a maintenance kick on my 97 and that's something I have over looked. I need to change it, I've got 120k on my truck and I'm addressing things I've let go for to long. Speaking of things over looked, what weight lube goes in the front differential, same as the rear, 75w140 of just 80w90? Thanks for your help.

I have a 97 with 4.6 4x4. Use Mercon ATF in the transfer case. I used synthetic ATF mercon (Mobil 1). I used semi syn 80/90 diff lube in the front diff. I used full synthetic 75/140 in the rear diff.

Thanks everyone, I'm changing out a rusty bumper right now. I'll do the transfer case and front diff. next. The only thing left is my headers. I would have that done if Ford didn't put the engine mount bracket over the exhaust manifold nut and stud, that's going to be a pain to get too and get off.
