distributor question

I have an hei dis. vac adv. with 9mm ford racing wires my quetions is what can I do to get better performance out of my hei its on a 1988 ford truck converted to carb setup. I have a 600 vac. sec holley and when I install new plugs what gap should I use.

Not much you can do, unless you want to go with a MSD box. The system you have now is pretty good.

If you want to leave your plugs in for a long time, I would gap them to the factory specs, which I think is around .045. If you want to change them more often, you could go up to .060.
