heater probs
Hi all,i have a question maybe yall can help me with.I have a 1990 f250 and my heater will only work on defrost.I am under the hood and see that there is a vaccuum line which hooks up to an actuator with a rod on it which,in turn,turns a lil rod that goes into a box in front of the fan.Well that rod in the box was broken on top so it wasnt attatcher to the actuator.I went to the bone yard and literally just pulled a rod out of a beater.When i put it in my truck it didnt catch and i think the flap inside is out of place and it seems to be hittin the fan now makin a racket.Can anyone give me some advice on how to get at this flap.I m not sure if i need to go inside and take out the heater core or take off the blower under the hood,or how they come out.Any help would be appreciated,thanks in advance
