The white paint inside and exerior is almost done, it's lookin pretty decently decent.
I got it ready to lift the front end for today I will also be painting my red fenders and the roof part on my truck. I may also finish my white painting today on the cab.
So by the end of today white should be done, fenders should have a coat of red, the roof red should be done. The front end lift should be structurally sound, if I have energy at midnight I may install my running lights.
I am watching the paint dry, I decide not to mess with front end but the first coat of red is on, on most parts of cab, not happy with it though.
My gun was acting up for what I thought was going to be my final white coat, I did get it workin, but now my red it looks like that brownish orange primer, I'm going to see how it drys, if not too bad I'll do a 2hd coat tonight, if bad going to find a new brand for 2nd and 3rd coats.
The same shop I do engine work. Just have a couple added light not perfect but neither is my body work LOL.
I'll try to get a pic on for you tonight, thanks for keeping this thread active, nice to know someone has interest.
Oh yeah man i find it super interesting the work you do. Guys like you and Nathan really know your stuff, especially for being a few years younger, its amazing!
What type/brand of paint are you using?
I still haven`t got around to getting the MF red for SK 51, hopefully next week.
You could of had matching red paint jobs if you would have used MF paint for the 57.
Well 4 new pics are up, man that takes awhile, well I'm off to smooth out my paint, man I'm a night owl. I've been waiting for this for a long time can't sleep now.
Well just called it a night figure 5:20 was late enough for this guy, got painting pretty much done, there is still a driver cab corner to be put on but all in all ahead of schedle. I loosed off my front suspension but it is gong to be a uphill battle tommorrow getting those rusted bolts out of what was already a snug fit.
And Fom, I'm using ShopMaster on ths truck, As you may have read earlier the red I was concerned about, but it dries into a nice dark red. I am using Gloss paint and hope to go over it all with a clear coat.
Please keep in mind when I say painting is done I am only talking about the cab the box still needs body work never the less finishing.
