no 4x4

my wife's 01(in sig) wont lock in.2 weekends ago she slid into the ditch due to realy icy roads i pulled it out and it drove fine it even had 4x4 when i pulled her out.after a week at a good freinds bodyshop gettin a new fender put on and now the ice is gone and theres mud every where here at the house(new construction havent planted grass yet) and it wont lock in even the light on the dash doesnt work when ya turn the switch.this wasnt realy that bad of a crash just slid into a snowbank in the ditch.any body have any ideas what to check to get this thing to lock in? i threw my back out again and cant get under there to check so ill have to instruct the wife what to look for.oh ya its got the 4.0 sohc with an auto trans if that makes a difference

Talking 4X not 2?

Hi wizzard351,

Straight off: Electrical Activation Disconnection or Water still in swithing device and possible rendering it inoperable.

And also always go for the basics 1st: Check fuses too! (Refer to above statement!)

ok i checked all the fuses and all of the ones with power key on 4x4 switch on were good. does anyone have an owners manual that tells what fuse it is? i did manage to get under there and the wires on the t-case looked good any other ideas? thanks wizz
