Lighted running boards?

I was under the truck (2000 F250 4x) and found a plug on the backside of each front fender well. Does anyone know if this is for the lighted running boards. If it is I was thinking I might hook up a small light underneath, if it works in conjunction with the dome light. What do you guys think?

If you have a Lariat or better, I'd try it with a volt meter. It is very possible that's what they are for.

FYI, I have the lighted running boards and they only come on when a door is opened or when I use the key fob to lock or unlock the doors.
