Yep, gave the guy $100. Almost feel bad. Hope to get it home this weekend where the first thing to do is wash 36 years of dust and dirt off it! After I do, I will take more pictures and post them so everyone can see exactly what I'm dealing with.
One of many to follow questions... was the back of the original bench seat one piece? This one has a split back and I have to believe it is not original.
I was 99.9% positive the seat was not original, but wanted to make sure since I don't want it and am going to have the guy take it out before I go get the truck. No need for extra things to get rid of!
Well excellent & good on ya, mate.
BUT, What Is It That You Acquired?
As in What Year of Truck?
This is another example of Why putting the Year of Truck in the Header would be good, because he didn't even put it in the Body of the message he left.
Thats great news! What a great price, i would have bought it in a hearbeat (then tried to figure out what to tell the wife and where in the heck I was going to put it)
Sorry Colonel. It is the '55 in my gallery. Posted the info in a couple other threads over the last few days. Then when I actually bought it I got excited and forgot to put that info in this thread for those of you who missed the other ones. My bad.
IPlans? I figure this to be a 3 year project, maybe 2 if my buddy pitches in as much as he says he will. First, get it home, cleaned up, and see what I really have. Take more pictures and post them. Then, who knows.
But it will be a driver, not a queen.
And no dark side...
Probably paint it tan with brown spots to look like a chocolate chip cookie.
