Well, with the other discussion on Tow/Haul, I deceided to try it. Geuss what, I noticed my Tow Haul light is burned out, Great, How do I change the light?
Has anyone else done this? How do I get behing the dash, what's the part number of the bulb?
That's a good question. I'm not sure that the instrument cluster has any servicable parts, but I'll inquire or you can just wait for one of our friendly neighborhood tech's to answer.
thats funny my overdrive light on the shifter is going crazy....when i put it in park i can switch to off but while in drive in wont changed.any ideas?

The wires are chafed or broken where they enter the shift lever inside the steering column. Take the plastic cover off of the column and you'll be able to see the problem. Either fix the wires or replace the shift lever.
I have a 2004 and my light is NOT in the shifter. It is in the dash and the light is burned out.
Does anyone know how to change bulbs in the dash? Do I have to take it apart or can I reash up behing the dash?
I'm not going to guarentee this. But this is for the 95% of vehicles I have worked on that had analog dashes. There is a set of 168 bulbs or bulb with black adaptor that plug into the back of the instrument cluster. Getting to these would require removing the trim around the cluster. Then unscrewing the 6-8 bolts that hold the assembly in place. Slowly pull this out so you don't yank wires or speedo cable.
From there you'll see little black caps that can be twisted out. Find the one that is right behind the dash indicator you need, and twist or pull gently to figure out which way it comes out. Check the bulb to make sure it is burnt.
I've never taken apart a SD dash, so I'm not sure if yours has this setup. Some I've taken apart have the light bulbs soldered to connectors in a black cap. Others have a 168 bulb that you can pull out of it's socket (like a license plate light).
If you plan on pulling your cluster out, I suggest taking it very slowly, and make sure you explore the entire way around where the trim joins. Just going in and yanking can result in busting the trim due to an unseen bolt or screw. Some metal clips are just naturally hard to undo. Also if you have an automatic, you may have to move the lever to get the trim out and away from the dash. Also some pieces may go all the way across. So you'll have to remove ash tray, cup holder... etc.
