The Ford dealer has had my 4.0 v6 1999 Explorer for 2 months now 'cause they can't find a catalytic converter for the truck. To backtrack they replaced my computer for the 2nd time, then a coil pack went bad while they were testing it (the coil was still under warranty/reinstall) and they said the bad coil blew out/ burned my catylatic conv.. So I've been waiting for them to locate another. I have heard that there is a supplier problem. Is this really going on? I'm OK because the dealer has given me a Windstar to drive @ n/c till the part comes in.
